So one thing that I have been interested in for a while is various types of clustering.
- Storage clustering/management
I wrote in detail about my explorations of LVM last week. It was fairly straightforward and easy to deploy.
- Beowulf clustering/parallel computing in general
I plan to setup a cluster between two computers using Ubuntu Server on each. I want to play with distcc and maybe some basic task scheduling stuff. Really just to say I have done it. No practical reason as of yet.
- High Availibility/Load Balancing
This is what I am most interested in. Setting up Linux High Availibility and Linux Virtual Server. This has applicability to the OSER project and to my day job.
I will be setting up a high availability cluster tomorrow in concert with Xen. Should be fun.
